Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring for a Communications Operator position for Clara Maass Medical Center. This is a Per Diem position.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school graduate or equivalent

Scheduling Requirements:

• Per Diem

Essential Functions:

• Relays incoming and outgoing calls, monitors operations of telephone and paging systems, and ensures that telephone equipment is in working order - reporting any issues.
• Monitors emergency alarms, and communicates medical and other information to authorized recipients.
• Ability to operate the paging system, sound alarms, and announce medical codes / disasters / other emergencies in accordance with institutional policies.
• Works collaboratively on Performance Improvement initiatives to improve the Telecommunications Department for the organization.
