Overview We are launching a new division dedicated exclusively to advanced retirement plan design: split-funded strategies that combine 401(k), profit sharing, and cash balance plans with life insurance funding. This role is ideal for an Enrolled Actuary who wants to operate in a highly specialized niche with strong client demand and who values work-life flexibility.
Core Responsibilities
Perform actuarial valuations and certify funding calculations for cash balance and defined benefit plans.
Collaborate with advisors, CPAs, and attorneys to optimize plan design for business-owner clients.
Structure split-funded solutions (investment + life insurance) within compliance limits.
Review and sign actuarial certifications, Schedule SB, and ensure IRS/DOL compliance.
Support illustrations, contribution ranges, and testing requirements for plan proposals.
Assist in developing processes, templates, and best practices for a growing division.
