Position Overview

The Graphic Designer plays a key role within the Creative Services Department, contributing creative expertise across print, digital,

social, and event platforms. This position is ideal for a designer with strong technical skills and creative vision who is motivated to

grow within the organization.

The Graphic Designer will work closely with the Sr. Manager of Creative Services, receiving mentorship and guidance while taking

ownership of projects that strengthen brand storytelling, visual communication, and organizational impact. This role offers the

opportunity to expand into creative leadership and project oversight over time.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Creative Execution

  • Conceptualize, design, and produce high-quality creative materials, including print collateral, digital assets, presentations, event branding, and promotional content.
  • Update and refresh existing creative materials while developing new concepts aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all creative outputs.
  • Understanding of current digital trends, content specs, and best practices for digital storytelling.

Collaboration & Support

  • Partner with internal departments to translate communication needs into compelling visual solutions.
  • Collaborate with external vendors (such as video production or animation partners) to maintain design quality and consistency.
  • Contribute ideas in brainstorming sessions and campaign development.

Professional Growth & Contribution

  • Take initiative to develop new skills and expand creative capabilities, including opportunities to contribute to campaign direction and project organization.
  • Provide input and feedback to help strengthen overall creative output within the department.
  • Approach feedback as an opportunity for continuous improvement.

The Graphic Designer will be an analytical and outside-the-box thinker with highly developed interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related course of study.
  • 3–4 years of professional design experience (in-house or agency preferred).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in branding, layout design, and visual storytelling.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Express; After Effects a plus).
  • Solid understanding of design principles, printing procedures, and digital publishing.
  • Familiarity with production and rendering methods, including drawing, offset printing, photography, and interactive media.
  • Knowledge of basic principles of photography, film, animation, and illustration.
  • Experience with HTML/CSS is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze data and adapt to new technology in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated creative thinking, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal.

  • Proven ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions in constantly changing conditions.

  • Flexibility to work varied hours in the office and in the field, including occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends.
  • Valid and current Driver’s License required.

Requirements

  • Proven graphic design experience as demonstrated with submission of strong portfolio with application.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign required; After Effects, Premiere Pro a plus).

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, talk, or hear. They must frequently stand, walk,

sit, use hands to handle tools or design equipment, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include

close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
