Summary:
Act as subject matter expert across aerospace vehicle systems.
Collaborate with design, quality, supply chain, EH&S, and production operations.
Provide producibility inputs to optimize engineering requirements and reduce build complexity.
Develop 3D manufacturing simulations (clash detection, task sequencing, assembly efficiency).
Review designs for manufacturability and provide cost/performance improvement feedback.
Create Manufacturing Engineering Statement of Work requirements.
Full-time onsite role, with occasional travel, extended hours, or weekend support.
Requirements:
Ability to obtain secret clearance
8+ years supporting aerospace vehicle systems in production environments.
8+ years in production operations and/or engineering.
5+ years CAD experience (CATIA V4/5, 3DX preferred).
Experience in manufacturing engineering roles supporting program startups and production.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Desired Skills:
A&P Certificate.
Project management experience.
Confluence/JIRA familiarity.
Root Cause & Corrective Action, FMEA experience.
Proven ability to set up production work cells and facility layouts.
Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Ability to present technical info clearly to diverse audiences.
Active DoD Clearance (within last 5 years) and eligibility for special program access.
