Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive primary and/or specialty care to patients across the lifespan. The NP will assess, diagnose, and manage patient care, including prescribing medications and ordering diagnostic tests, while promoting health education and disease prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform physical exams, diagnose illnesses, and create treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with scope of practice
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.)
- Educate patients on preventative care, chronic disease management, and medication usage
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using EMR systems
- Conduct follow-up visits and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- May supervise clinical staff or serve in leadership roles
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP)
- Active Nurse Practitioner license and certification (FNP, AGNP, PMHNP, etc.)
- Current DEA license and prescriptive authority
- BLS/ACLS certification
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
Work Environment:
- May work in primary care clinics, hospitals, specialty practices, long-term care, or telehealth
- Must be able to handle fast-paced environments with frequent patient interaction
- May require standing for long periods and occasional lifting
- Some travel between clinics or home visits may be required depending on practice
