HMI is a 38 year old mechanical and plumbing contractor located in Hickory, NC. We are not looking for short-term employees, we are looking for long-term teammates.

Commercial Plumbing Foreman:
Our Plumbers are responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing for water distribution and wastewater disposal in commercial and industrial buildings. Experience managing crews on commercial job sites is critical.

Responsibilities:

• Assembly of tubing and fittings using couplings, clamps, bolts, screws, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, soldering, and brazing. D.W.V piping and Domestic water piping.
• Experienced installing No Hub, P.V.C, Copper, and Pex tubing.
• Review blueprints and building codes to determine work details and procedures. Study building plan to assess materials needed for jobs.
• Experience with underground and slab a must.
• Experience managing a crew.
• Experience with the installation of Commercial Plumbing Systems.
• Keep records of assignments and produce detailed work reports.

Requirements:

• 5+ years or more of commercial project work experience.
• OSHA 10 is a plus but not required.
• Able to stand, lift, put together, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Reliable transportation.
• Hand Tools of your trade.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Always committed to safety.
