Position Title: Registered Nurse – Correctional
Location: Coxsackie, NY
Job Type: Contract | Onsite | Full-time (0% Remote)
Shift: Day Shift | 5x8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) | 40 hours/week
Duration: 26 weeks
Pay Rate: $52.00 – $56.00/hour (Stipends available for travelers)
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Registered Nurse – Correctional for an exciting Travel or Local job in Coxsackie, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct patient care, conduct assessments, and administer medications.
• Accurately document patient conditions, interventions, and responses.
• Provide emergency medical response and stabilizing care as required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage inmate healthcare.
• Uphold infection control and safety standards within the correctional facility.
• Operate independently while managing patient care within defined protocols.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
• At least 2 years of RN experience — Med-Surg experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in a correctional or secure setting.
• Flexible with work schedules; part-time applicants (24–40 hours/week) may be considered.
Preferred:
• Previous correctional nursing experience.
• Proficient in documentation and effective communication skills.
