Job Description

Job Purpose

Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure that the company's procurement processes align with sustainability goals. This includes working with suppliers to gather sustainability data, optimizing supply chain operations to reduce carbon footprint, monitoring, and reporting on sustainability metrics, and collaborating with various departments to integrate sustainability considerations into purchasing decisions. The role also involves staying updated on industry trends and regulations related to sustainable procurement practices and implementing supply chain transparency.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
• Sustainable Sourcing Strategy:
Develop and execute procurement strategies that prioritize environmental stewardship, ethical sourcing, and social responsibility.
• Supplier Engagement & ESG Performance:
Collaborate with suppliers to improve sustainability practices, monitor ESG metrics, and drive continuous improvement across the supply base.
• Policy & Compliance:
Ensure procurement activities align with corporate sustainability goals, regulatory requirements, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 20400, GHG Protocol, Scope 3 emissions).
• Data & Reporting:
Track and report on sustainability KPIs, including carbon footprint, waste reduction, and supplier diversity. Support sustainability disclosures and audits.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with teams in supply chain, legal, finance, and sustainability to integrate responsible procurement practices across the organization.
• Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate sustainability-related risks in the supply chain, including human rights, climate impact, and resource scarcity.


Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain, with a focus on sustainability or ESG.
• Strong knowledge of sustainable procurement frameworks and standards.
• Experience with supplier ESG assessments, carbon accounting, and lifecycle analysis.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and sustainability reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills are crucial for this position.


Preferred Skills:
• Certification in sustainable procurement (e.g., CIPS Ethical Procurement, LEED, ISO 20400).
• Experience in managing Scope 3 emissions and circular economy initiatives.
• Familiarity with global sustainability regulations and reporting frameworks (e.g., CSRD, TCFD, GRI, CBAM, EUDR).
