As a Roofing Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for a diverse range of commercial projects, collaborating closely with contractors, architects, and clients. Responsibilities

  • Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial roofing and façade projects.
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs for roofing, cladding, and architectural facade systems.
  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates, proposals, and bid submissions.
  • Analyze labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and evaluate pricing.
  • Identify value-engineering opportunities while maintaining compliance with project requirements.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as needed.
  • Collaborate with project managers and sales teams to ensure a seamless transition of awarded projects.
  • Stay current with market pricing, industry trends, and new materials or installation methods.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in roofing, metal panels, or architectural facades.
  • Strong knowledge of roofing systems, including metal, single-ply, BUR, foam, and building envelope solutions.
  • Experience with architectural metal panels, rainscreen systems, curtain walls, and façade assemblies.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Advanced skills in estimating software, take-off programs, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

$90,000 – $110,000 base salary, plus an uncapped bonus structure that rewards high performance.
