As a Roofing Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for a diverse range of commercial projects, collaborating closely with contractors, architects, and clients. Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial roofing and façade projects.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs for roofing, cladding, and architectural facade systems.
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates, proposals, and bid submissions.
- Analyze labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and evaluate pricing.
- Identify value-engineering opportunities while maintaining compliance with project requirements.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers and sales teams to ensure a seamless transition of awarded projects.
- Stay current with market pricing, industry trends, and new materials or installation methods.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in roofing, metal panels, or architectural facades.
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems, including metal, single-ply, BUR, foam, and building envelope solutions.
- Experience with architectural metal panels, rainscreen systems, curtain walls, and façade assemblies.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Advanced skills in estimating software, take-off programs, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation
$90,000 – $110,000 base salary, plus an uncapped bonus structure that rewards high performance.
