Senior Controller
Locations: New York, NY 10028 (Upper East Side) or Boca Raton, FL
Schedule: On-site 5 days/week (hybrid flexibility after 6 months, based on performance)
Salary: Up to $250K + full benefits
A highly sophisticated private family office managing $1B+ in global assets is seeking a Senior Controller to oversee accounting and finance operations across complex domestic and international entities, including trusts, holding companies, private equity, and real estate. This is a hands-on role with oversight responsibility and direct exposure to firm principals.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage GL, financial reporting, consolidations, and reconciliations (U.S. & Switzerland)
Oversee proprietary Addepar-style reporting system
Supervise junior controller/bookkeeper
Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, and legal counsel
Provide timely reporting and analysis to firm principals
Ensure accurate handling of multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional structures
Requirements:
10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
Exposure to trusts, family office, fund accounting, or private equity
Strong multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional background
CPA helpful but not required
Stable job history required – no job hoppers
Relocation okay, no packages provided
