Cosmetic Packaging Manufacturer is looking for a
Production Supervisor for their Newark, NJ Plant

SUMMARY:
Supervise and lead Deco and Frosting production teams that focuses on optimizing processes and improving production efficiency. Support Spray department as needed. Supervise and schedule productions according to plant priorities ensuring compliance under the HSE guidelines, quality and right on time.

DAILY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Daily resources allocation, making production plans to achieve efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Production scheduling.
• Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
• Implement solutions using lean manufacturing tools and different methodologies to streamline processes, enhance safety, quality, productivity and reduce waste.
• Fine-tune processes to achieve the highest level of efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement projects, including planning, execution and monitoring final  results.
• Develop and create new standard operational procedures.
• Provide training to employees on new practices, methodologies, standard operation procedures and tools.
• Track and monitor industrial KPI’s.
• Work directly with people, materials, equipment and manufacturing processes to deliver site   performance and KPI’s.
• Work with quality engineers to address manufacturing non conformances and implement effective corrective and preventive actions with root cause investigations.
• Ensure implementation of new primary packaging projects and new products.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Must have Glass Manufacturing experience
• Production scheduling knowledge
• Decorating processes knowledge such as silk screening, spraying and frosting
• Use of Lean Manufacturing tools
• Bilingual Spanish preferred
