Job Description

Description We are looking for a dedicated Property Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing key accounting functions related to property management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with senior accounting professionals and contribute to maintaining efficient financial operations. Responsibilities: - Manage daily accounting tasks and ensure timely completion of monthly close processes, including production and revenue activities. - Prepare and reconcile accounts related to operational property accounting functions. - Assist management with the accurate execution of accounting close procedures and assigned financial projects. - Collaborate with the Senior Property Accountant to review and oversee operational accounting tasks. - Coordinate with the Accounting Manager and Controller to address complex accounting issues and ensure compliance with organizational standards. - Utilize Yardi software to manage property accounting records and financial data. - Monitor accrual accounting entries and ensure alignment with financial reporting requirements. - Maintain and update the general ledger to accurately reflect property-related transactions. - Analyze financial data to support decision-making and resolve discrepancies. - Develop and implement improvements for accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. - Proven experience in property accounting, preferably within the oil and gas industry. - Proficiency in using Yardi software for property management and accounting tasks. - Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and accrual accounting principles. - Expertise in managing and reconciling general ledger accounts. - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting. - Effective communication skills for collaboration across accounting teams.
