The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Johns Hopkins Hospital is a 28-bed unit providing comprehensive medical and surgical intensive care for children from birth to 21 years old. As Maryland’s only Level 1 pediatric trauma center and state-designated pediatric burn ICU, the PICU cares for children up to 15 years of age with complex diagnoses including respiratory failure, metabolic disorders, seizure disorders, multiorgan failure, shock, toxic ingestions, and neonatal and pediatric ECMO. Our surgical services encompass extensive general, cardiac, thoracic, orthopedic, and neurologic procedures.

Position Details:
Role: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Shifts: 12-hour Night Shift- 24 hours per week ( Nightshift is required to work 2 Fridays, 1 Saturday, 1 Sunday, 1 Monday pm per 6 week schedule in addition to their core shifts. Must work 5 out of 6 weekends in a 6 week schedule)
Qualifications:
BSN/MSN from an accredited nursing program preferred. Applicants with an Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited program may be considered if enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within one year of hire and completing the degree within five years.
Active Maryland or Compact RN license required.
BLS CPR certification (AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted).
Minimum of one year of RN experience in a pediatric critical care setting.
**Must have authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship applicants will not be considered).
Salary Range: Minimum 38.49/hour - Maximum 59.66/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
